Ed Niedzwiecki closed out his senior sprint car championship by winning the 20-lap feature. Gary Conditt was second and Dave Hume was third. Kevin Alverson was fourth and Roy Coe fifth.

Niedzwiecki had 3,500 points in 15 races. Bill Van Praag was second with 3,050, followed by Conditt (2,865), Tom Bellinger (2,745) and Jon Prechtl (2,675).

Jim Scribellito earned the pro dwarf car championship with 3,290 points. Scribellito won the final race after starting 10th. Marc Lippert was second. Ben Sheen was third. Chris Olson and Michael Sweeney Jr. was fifth.

Brent Stevens was second in points with 2,980. Jeff Shelton was third with 2,400. Greg Goodwin (2,245) and Olson (2,200) finished in the top five.

Devin McCree won the 12-lap mini dwarf cars I feature. Tyler Jerman was second and Riley Helland third.

Helland celebrated the championship with 2,610 points in 12 races. McCree was second at 2,355. Brennan Rogers was third with 2,250. Cameron Dougan (2,245) and Jerman (2,090) completed the top five standings.

Tommy Velasquez captured the mini dwarf cars II championship with 2,2270 in 12 races. Velasquez won the title by winning the 12-lap feature, holding off Ricky Lewis, who finished 40 points behind in second place. Chris Noe (2,470), Cameron McCauley (2,185) and Jimmy McDonald (2,125) comprised the top five.

Cole Wakim was third in the feature. Noe was fourth and McDonald fifth.

Ventura Raceway will close its season-long celebration of 30 years of racing on Saturday night.

The Ventura Racing Association sprint cars, senior sprint cars, dwarf cars, mini dwarf cars and junior midgets will race on the "Best Little Dirt Track" under the promotion of Jim Naylor for the last time in 2007

Jim Scribellito is the pro dwarf car leader with 3,045 points and Brent Stevens (2,820) is second. Ed Niedzwiecki is the senior dwarf car champion with nine wins and 3,270 points. Bill Van Praag is second with 2,885 points.

Tommy Velasquez III (2,515 points) is trying to hold off Ricky Lewis (2,490) for the mini dwarf car I title. Riley Helland (2,380) is the mini dwarf car II champion.

Brian Saxton was the dwarf car feature winner. Michael Lewis was second and Jeff Shelton third.

Tom Bellinger won the 20-lap senior dwarf car race. Bill Van Praag was second and John Prechtl third. Ed Niedzwiecki is the series champion with 3,270. Van Praag is second with 2,885 points.

Christian Copley won the junior midget feature. Amanda Green was second. Jessica Clark won the championship. Tommy Velasquez won the mini dwarf cars I race and Devin McCree won the mini dwarf cars II race.

Ed Niedzwiecki is the senior dwarf car sensation with nine wins in 13 races. He's the points leader with 3,115. Bill Van Praag is second with 2,660 points.

Ricky Lewis leads the mini dwarf cars I with 2,230 points and four wins. Tommy Velasquez III is second with 2,265 points and five wins.

Tyler Jerman is the dwarf cars II leader with four wins and 2,265 points. Riley Helland is second with 2,165 points.

Angel Figueroa earned a victory in the dwarf car regional pro feature. Kevin Drake was second and Jim Scribellito was third. John Hyatt and Kevin Bender finished in the top five.

Mike Van Acker won the senior dwarf car regional 20-lap race. He led from start to finish. Ed Niedzwiecki was second and leads in senior points. Gordan Brand was third, followed by Bill Van Pragg and Gary Conditt.

Devin McCree won the mini dwarf car II feature.  Austin Phipps came in second.  Chase Lippert finished third. Cameron Dougen was fourth and Austin Figueroa was fifth.

Riley Helland is the points leader with 1,975 and Tyler Jerman is second at 1,950.

Tommy Velasquez III won the mini dwarf car I feature. Cameron McCauley was second. James Billings, Mason White and Jimmy McDonald were in the top five.

Ricky Lewis is the mini dwarf cars I points leader with 2,110 through nine races. Velasquez is third with 2,005.

Brian Saxton was victorious in the pro dwarf car feature. Eric Lopez was second and Michael Lewis was third. Saxton has only raced twice at Ventura since winning the championship a year ago.

Jim Scribellito is the points leader with 2,305 through 10 races. Brent Stevens is second with 2,225.

Ed Niedzwiecki, the Ventura County Fair champion, won the senior dwarf race. Kevin Alverson was second and Dave Hume was third. Niedzwiecki has 2,405 points and Bill Van Pragg is second at 2,040.

Jimmy McDonald won the mini dwarf cars I feature over Ricky Lewis. Nick Velasquez was third. Chris Noe and Cole Wakim were in the top five. Lewis leads in points with 1,925 and Tommy Velasquez is second with 1,755.

Tyler Jerman won the mini dwarf cars II feature. Wyatt Shaffer was second. Devin McCree, Riley Helland and Eddie Vasquez rounded out the top five.

Helland leads with 1,790 points and Jerman is second with 1,775.

Before 6,000 fans, Brent Stevens earned the Ventura Racing Association pro dwarf car feature. Stevens started fourth and finished ahead of Jeff Shelton and Jim Scribellito. Stevens and Jeff Fillingame were heat winners.

Ed Niedzwiecki won the senior dwarf car feature. John Lynch was second and Gary Conditt was third. Niedzwiecki and Kevin Alverson were heat winners.

Niedzwiecki extended his points lead to 2,150 after nine races. Bill Van Praag is second with 1,825.

Tommy Velasquez won the mini dwarf cars I feature. Jimmy McDonald was second and Ethan Dotson was third.

Velasquez and Dotson won heat races.

Tyler Jerman won the mini dwarf cars II main event. Brody Schweitzer was second and Riley Helland third.

Ed Niedzwiecki ran away from the senior dwarf car field. Bill Van Praag was second. Dave Hume was third. Jon Prechtl and Gary Conditt rounded out the top five. Niedzwiecki leads the way with 1,890 points. Van Praag is second with 1,710.

Marc Lippert won the 20-lap pro dwarf feature. Lippert had to hold off Brian Saxton and Jim Scribellito in an exciting finish. Scribellito is first in points with 1,890. Brent Stevens is second with 1,775.

Ricky Lewis was the winner of the mini dwarf car I feature. Chris Noe was second and Cameron McCauley was third. Lewis is the points leader with 1,495. Tommy Velasquez III is second with 1,325 and Noe is third at 1,265.

Riley Helland was the mini dwarf car II feature winner. Cameron Dougen was second and Brennan Rogers was third. Helland tops the points with 1,360. Tyler Jerman is second at 1,275. Chase Lippert is third with 1,170.

Brent Stevens started sixth and captured the pro dwarf car feature. Jeff Shelton was second in the 20-lap race. Jim Scribellitto was third, Marc Lippert was fourth and Lars Wolf fifth. Lippert and Shelton were heat winners. Scribellitto leads in points with 1,165. Stevens is second at 1,570, followed by Rob Anderson 1,475, Greg Goodwin 1,155 and Cory Pollock 1,085.

Gary Conditt was victorious in the senior dwarf car feature. Bill Van Praag finished second. Tom Bellinger, Roy Coe and Jon Prechtl finished in the top five. Conditt and Alverson were heat winners. Defending champion Ed Niedzwiecki leads in points with 1,630. Van Praag is second at 1,490. Conditt, Jerry Doolittle and Tom Bellinger each have 1,265 points to tie for third.

Riley Helland won the mini dwarf cars II feature over Tyler Jerman, Devin McCree, Eddie Vasquez and Emma Alderman. Helland and Jerman won heat races. Jerman leads in points with 1,130. Helland is second at 1,100. McCree is third at 985 and Chase Lippert is fourth at 970.

Jim Scribellito won his fourth dwarf car feature this season. Scribellito started fourth and finished in front of Brent Stevens. Curt Cook was third. Ben Sheen and Rob Anderson finished in the top five.

John Lynch won the senior dwarf car feature. Defending champion Ed Niedzwiecki was second. Kevin Alverson was third. Jon Prechtl was fourth and Wes Harris fifth.

Niedzwiecki is the points leader with 1,495 through six races. Bill Van Praag is second at 1,275. Jerry Doolittle is third with 1,120.

Rob Anderson prevailed in the pro dwarf cars feature. Jim Scribellito was second and Lars Wolfe third. Brent Stevens was fourth and Chuck Lippert fifth. Scribellito is first with 985 points. Anderson is second with 945 and Stevens third with 895. Scribellito has won three races this season.

Ed Niedzwiecki earned his third senior dwarf car win and extended his points lead to 1,015. John Lynch was second and Gary Conditt was third. Bill Van Praag finished fourth and Jerry Doolittle fifth. Van Praag is second with 945 points and Conditt is third with 785.

Tommy Velasquez III won the mini dwarf cars I race over Ricky Lewis and Garret Nagle. Chris Noe and Cole Wakim rounded out the top five. Lewis has 755 points and Velasquez is second with 640.

Riley Helland was victorious in the mini dwarf cars II feature. Points leader Tyler Jerman was second and Austin Figueroa was third. Devin McCree finished fourth and Chase Lippert fifth. Jerman has 705 points and Helland 655.

3/24/07 Additional information about today's race:

As Tommy approached turn 3, he passed #50 Ricky Lewis on the inside.  However, Ricky was trying to get by #23 Cameron McCauley when they both tangled, sending Ricky sideways into the nerf bar of Tommy's right side.  Tommy was knocked sideways and his back right tire hopped over Ricky's front left tire, sending him up in the air with a bounce on the right side of the car.  His car rolled upside down on the roof, eventually rolling over and landing on the driver's side of the car!  Check out the exciting video

Bill Van Praag was victorious in the VRA senior dwarf car feature. Ed Niedzwiecki, last season's champion, was second. Tom Bellinger was third, followed by Gary Conditt and Jerry Doolittle. Niedzwiecki has 500 points after two races. Van Praag is 10 points off the lead. Condit is third with 410 points.

Brent Stevens prevailed in the pro dwarf car feature. Jim Scribellito was second and Rob Anderson third. Marc Lippert and Greg Goodwin rounded out the top five. Scribellito is the points leader with 495. Stevens is second with 480 and Anderson is third with 445.

Ricky Lewis won the VRA mini dwarf cars I feature. Cameron McCauley was second and Tommy Velasquez third. Chris Noe and Mason White rounded out the top five. Lewis is the points leader with 515. McCauley is second with 470.

Tyler Jerman was first in the VRA mini dwarf cars II. Riley Helland was second. Austin Figueroa was third. Cameron Dougan and Chase Lippert finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Jerman leads in points with 465 and Lippert is second with 440.

Jim Scribellito of San Diego won the VRA pro dwarf car 15-lap feature Scribellito bumped Rob Anderson near the finish to win the race. 

But Scribellito contends he never put Anderson in the wall. Scribellito was caught up with the four drivers who were vying for an opening night win. Anderson finished second. Brent Stevens was third and Jeff Shelton was fourth.

Ed Niedzwiecki won the VRA senior dwarf care feature. Bill Van Pragg was second and Gary Conditt was third.

Ricky Lewis won the mini dwarf car main.
